Got up early enough to get there on time. Showered and still sleepy. And since I really don’t care about the race, I’m going back to sleep. 

I will be shamed by 4 people (minimum) on Monday. The CEO, a sales rep, & 2 fellow engineers will be the ones who do. Heck, we were shamed at the initial onset of the prospect of the race. I only gave in when the price cut in half; to get them off my back. I expect a third of the signed up people won’t show. Perhaps half.

They haven’t attempted to hire me after a year and a half, therefore why do I really care to try to fit in “like family ” as they like to say. It is a very poorly reimbursed family as is.
